Pastor Dave Brown and Mrs. Brown have been at Central Baptist Church for over 50 years! Pastor Brown graduated from Hyles Anderson College in 1976 and soon after took the pastorate at Central. He has an outstanding love for the Lord, a passion for soul-winning, and deep love for the people of CBC.  Linda publishes our weekly church bulletin, teaches Sunday school, serves in the music ministry, and leads our church nursery. They have five children serving in different ministries across the country.

John and Ashley Heath graduated from Commonwealth Baptist College in Lexington, Kentucky. After college he pastored a church in Corbin, Kentucky for seven years. They moved to Decatur in July 2026 to join our staff. John is the youth pastor and bus director and helps with church media. Ashley helps with the teens and youth, sings in choir, and serves as a church pianist. They have two boys – JD and Sammy.

Kevin and Jessica graduated from Ambassador Baptist College in Lattimore, North Carolina. They moved to Decatur in August of 2001. Kevin is the music pastor, Patch the Pirate Club captain, and financial manager. He also cooks and plan for church events.  Jessica serves as a church pianist, works in nursery, ministers in choirs and special music, and Patch the Pirate Club. They have five children – Nathan, Chloe, Caleb, Aiden, and Ella.
